More of Lou. It was fun to go through this process with Meghan. After a great deal of research, she bid and bought this horse online during the live auction. I thought she was really brave. We are all so excited about this horse’s future.

Congratulations, Meghan Graddy Carr, on your purchase of Luis Bonner at the Red Bluff Gelding Sale. This fancy four year old is by One Time Pepto and out of a High Brow Cat mare. He is unshown due to his owner’s unfortunate circumstances just before the futurity, but Meghan and I will take care of that! Meghan was remarkably brave, focused, and organized as she went about making this purchase. She did it online, bidding against others present at the sale, as I sat at the auction with a pounding heart. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Congratulations to Marshall Harmon on his purchase of Drift a Poppin. Pop is off to a new career as a head horse, and Marshall is so excited about his potential. I think he looks great with a team roping saddle.
Poppin looked great at the Red Bluff gelding sale. Brian Huntsberger did a great job showing him and fitting him. Thanks to Brian and Mary Kate for giving this horse your very best and for loving him. He’s a good one, and he’s found a good new home.
If I have learned one thing from my travels, it is this: Wherever one goes, horses are horses and people are people. I know, it doesn’t sound very profound, but I find it profound in its simplicity. If there is a key to success in my world, it is understanding the mind of horses and the mind of people. It’s comforting to know that wherever I go, the equine and the human being are going to be just that……horses and people. My job is to teach and to see them learn and grow, resulting in the growth of my own horses and myself. The teaching that I do in one place seems to apply in another place, and that is oh so satisfying.
Thanks so much to Carolyn Hunt, Buck Brannaman, Deb Desreaux, Anthony Desreaux, Jaton Lord, Brook Hazlett, Andrea Hazlett, Barbara Ditmore, Jolene Duncan, Richard Duncan, Francesca Lord, and all the folks who allowed me to waltz off to the Land Down Under. I wouldn’t have done all this teaching and learning without you.
Special thanks to Erin Corey and Tom Clifford for keeping things running so smoothly at home.
I think this match with young Lizzie Billman is a good one!!
VERY VERY MERRY to all of you and your critters from us and all the critters at Clifford Horse Training.
Congratulations to Lizzy Billman on her purchase of Bitsy Itsy Boon. Lizzy and Spider headed home to Gardnerville, Nevada bright and early today. I can’t wait to watch this pair in the reined cow horse and versatility show pens. Some things were meant to be, and this is one of them. Look for this fine young rider and this great little horse.🎄👏
