I was so pleased with Chase in Susanville. After a bad start, with a back fence in the Cutting and a last place finish in Conformation, I had to put together the best show I could. Chase won the Cow Horse under one judge and was second under the other. He was second under both judges in the Reining. He won the Trail under both judges, and was second in Ranch Riding under both judges. I was able to squeak by my old friend and Nemesis, Debby Sanguinetti, by one point with one judge and two with the other. This horse is able to show well consistently in any class, except for that pesky Conformation. He is a true talent. He also proves to me that “it’s not over, until it’s over” in Ranch Horse Versatility. I guess we will have to try that Houston thing again.
