The Region 10 versatility on April 2 has been cancelled due to weather. Can’t imagine why! Anyway, I spoke with Rachelle Lightfoot, who also told me about some changes to the format of future Region 10 versatilities. Basically, working a cow will be optional. The classes can be entered individually or together, and the high point winner gets a buckle. Also, there will be no “down the fence” or roping, even for open riders. I have mixed feelings about this, but there are some advantages. I would encourage my amateur riders to enter the open and get in some extra, inexpensive showing. Check out the Region 10 website and talk to me for more details. The next versatility is on June 5.There are still plans to hold the Sandy Collier clinic on April 8,9, and 10. I’ve heard good things about next week’s weather, and I will keep you posted.
Let’s hope for dry!
